Nando Parrado was invited to speak of his experiences to the Young President's Organisation in 1992.  Soon after, he was called by several multinational companies and is now one of the most important speakers at world-wide level, with conferences in the United States, Europe, Asia, Australia and Latin America.

On Friday 13th October 1972, a Uruguayan airplane with 45 passengers, many of whom were students and players of a rugby team, crashed in the Cordillera de los Andes. Twelve died in the crash.  Aside from hunger, one of the most gruelling things that the survivors had to cope with was the frightful Cordillera and temperatures of -30 during the nights.

The sixteen survivors, who beat death in the Cordillera de los Andes, survived 72 days in the most appalling conditions. It is a story  that inspires businessmen and businesswoman alike to transform their actions in the face of today's challenges.

Due to his courageous act to cross the Andes with his friend Roberto, the remaining survivers were found; his achievements are a powerful testimony to his attitude of survival. He managed to transform his life after losing both his mother and sister in the accident and suffering from a fractured scull.
