Claire Young shot onto our screens as a finalist in The Apprentice. An advocate for women in business, employability skills, and enterprise education, Claire inspires audiences with topics such as  'Motivation, Inspiration and Visualisation'. She set up her own business ‘School Speakers’, which is now the UK’s No 1 speaking agency to provide talks to students.

Claire Young shot to fame in series 4 of the smash hit BBC1 programme ´The Apprentice´ and since has become a known as an entrepreneur, corporate speaker, enterprise consultant and mentor of the highest calibre.

Claire Young, is the straight talking, no-nonsense business woman who is well known for reaching the final of series 4 of BBC1’s The Apprentice in 2008, watched by over 11 million viewers. Since, she has set up her own business ‘School Speakers’. It is now the UK’s No 1 speaking agency working with schools, colleges and universities to provide talks to students.

She works within the media as a journalist and radio presenter in addition to advising the government on projects which help young people and women, into business. Claire is an experienced presentation on TV (previously presenting on Day Break and BBC Breakfast) and regularly contributes to a variety of business magazines, paper and radio shows.

Claire works ‘hands on’ in schools (primary through to university age), and across multiple government organisations, helping students to raise aspirations, take off the blinkers and think big. She has worked on many successful initiatives, including enterprise education, SME growth, employability skills and the women in business agenda.

Claire supports the National Apprenticeship Service by heading up their Young Ambassador Network and works in partnership with the Peter Jones Foundation supporting Tenner Tycoon and Global Entrepreneurship Week. She has been nominated for the Queen’s Enterprise Award twice.  In 2015 she was named ‘Business Person of the Year’ at Wakefield District Business Awards, has won the coveted ‘Forward Ladies Women in Business Award’ 2015 for her business School Speakers and a ‘Mumpreneur 2015’ award.
