Critics rave about Cardiff-born Woodward. Judges, stars, audiences and newspapers alike love this young and fast-rising comedian.  Winner of the ‘Encore Comedian of The Year’, Rod completed the 110-night sell-out Dark Side Tour of the UK and Ireland with Patrick McGuinness of Phoenix Nights and Road To Nowhere and appeared with Russell Brand at St. David’s Hall, Cardiff.  He won the BBC comedy competition Funny Business in February 2008.

Rod has written and performed in his own Radio Wales Comedy series, "Doing It For A Laugh" - 3Series.  He has also written and presented the ten-part series, "A Bit Off The Fringe" for BBC2 Wales, and has appeared as the subject of the BBC documentary, "Am I Talking To You", which followed Rod on his journey to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.  He wrote and performed his own one man show for a 25-night run at The Pleasance at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, for which he earned rave reviews.
