Michael Woodford was the former CEO of Olympus and was fired from his position after he publicised the serious acts of fraud taking place at the company. The scale of fraud was estimated to have been $1.7 billion over 20 years. Michael moved back to London after being fired and told he should fear for his safety, he briefed the Serious Fraud Act on what he had found, which was followed by a series of investigations that involved the SFO, FBI and Tokyo Police.
